Chinanews, Beijing, June 7 - Feng Huiling, vice president of the Renmin University of China, published the result of her research on the cultural symbol of China and its relations with the 2008 Olympic Games on June 5, finding that the Great Wall is the favorite of 80%-plus overseas tourists.

Feng's research covers famous politicians and businesspeople from 50-plus countries and regions in the world, and some 3,000 articles from media both at home and abroad. According to her research, 36% of respondents are interested in Chinese food, and 80.8% of them say that they will visit the Great Wall first if they have a chance to come to China, with the Forbidden City, Tian'anmen, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven next to it.

About 36% of the respondents are interested in Chinese calligraphy, not the Beijing Opera, which is quite beyond Feng's expectation.
