Xitang is an ancient township located in Jiashan county of Zhejiang Province, southeast of China. It has over 1000 years in history, with plenty of buildings dated back to Ming and Qing dynasties.

Like many townships in that part of China, the houses are built along the waterways, with bridges acrossing them. This makes a unique but yet common view in that area, much like those in Venice of Italy.

(Traditional southern China style: bridge and waterway)

(Houses built along the waterway: they look similar, yet each one has its own characteristics)

(Scenes of "Mission Impossible III" were shot here)
